Monaco Dumps out Manchester City of the Champions League

  • Manchester City has been struck out of the Champions League by Monaco, after suffering a 3-1 defeat and a tie that ended 6-6 on aggregate. The Champions League match was played on March 16, 2017 at the Stade Louis stadium in Monaco.

In the first half, Manchester City could not have a single shot on or off target as they followed 2-0 at the break.

This is the first time in his career that the manager Pep Guardiola will be going out, at the last-16 stage. The loss has resulted in Leicester city, the Premier League champions, being the only English team in the quarter finals.

Monaco is going to join the Real Madrid, the Foxes, Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Juventus in Friday's draw.
