Michael Vick to be the starting quarterback for Eagles
August 21 , 2013
Eagles Coach has announced that Michael Vick is going to be the starting quarterback this season. Chip Kelly mentioned that he had met with the quarterbacks to let them know of his decision.
Vick beat Nick Foles and Matt Barkley and won the competition. The coach said "it was a healthy competition."
This was the first time that Vick had to compete for a starting job in his career. He is now entering his 12th season and has received a bonus of $3.5 million for being on the one-year deal.
Being on the roster for the beginning of the season will fetch him another $3.5M.
Foles started six games in Vick's place in his second season when Vick suffered a concussion.
