Michael Phelps wins 18th and final Olympic gold

Michael Phelps has won his 18th and final Olympic gold medal of his career following a victory in the 4x100-meter medley relay.
The 27-year-old swam the third butterfly leg to help the United States beat Japan with a time of 3:29.35.
Phelps will now retire with 22 medals in total, 18 of them gold, from four Olympic Games.
He made his Olympic debut in Sydney in 2000 at the age of 15 and won six golds and two bronze medals in Athens, followed by a historic eight gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Games.
