The media has been abuzz with reports of a possible comeback by all-time great Michael Phelps. There is a strong report doing the rounds stating that the swimmer is all set to begin training at the Olympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo with a mission to compete in the 2016 Rio Olympics.
Phelps, however, downplayed the report on twitter without an actual denial. The tweet read: "Why do I keep getting texts about coming back? Do ppl really believe everything they hear or read? There are to many ppl in the world that think they have a 'story' ...."
The Olympic training center moreover commented that the swimmer is not scheduled to be on training.
Phelps has previously been quoted as saying that he has no plans to return to competitive swimming.
The athlete and Olympian has an unbeaten record of 18 gold medals and 22 medals overall.
