Metal removed from Denny Hamlin's eye
March 27 , 2014
Denny Hamlin has been allowed to race after facing vision issues this weekend. The racer was initially diagnosed with a sinus infection and his condition became worse later.
Hence the medical team referred him to a hospital, where doctors found a piece of metal in his eye. They saw an improvement in Hamilton's health after removing it and further tests revealed that he never suffered from a sinus infection.
The team mentioned that he's been cleared to "resume all racing activity without restriction."
