Marvan Atapattu is Sri Lanka's new head coach

  •  Ex-opener Marvan Atapattu has been confirmed Sri Lanka’s new coach after his successful tenure as an interim coach, as per media reports. He took over the position after the resignation of Paul Farbrace in April. Atapattu played 268 one-day internationals and 90 Tests and is said to have scored more than 14, 000 runs internationally.

    The seven-game one-day series against England that is to be held in November and December will be Atapattu’s first venture as a full time coach.
