Loss to Germany worst day of life: Scolari
July 9 , 2014
Brazil’s coach Luiz Felipe Scolari has described his team’s 7-1 shock loss to Germany in the World Cup semifinal as his life’s “worst day.”
“I will be remembered as the coach to lose 7-1, but I knew that risk when I took the job,” he said, calling the result “catastrophic.”
Brazil’s game was up in the first half after a goal each from Thomas Muller, Miroslav Klose, and Sami Khedira and two from Toni Kroos. Brazil will now play for third place against the winner of the second semifinal.
