Laurent Blanc quits as France boss after Euro 2012 exit
July 1 , 2012
Laurent Blanc has left his job as manager of the French national team after his contract came to an end.
The 46-year-old, who has been linked to the vacant Tottenham post, took over from Raymond Domenech in 2010.
Marseille boss Didier Deschamps is the favorite to replace Blanc.
Despite France's disappointing performance at Euro 2012, Blanc had initially been expected to carry on in the role for another two years.
Blanc had taken France to Euro 2012 on a high, with a 23-match unbeaten run that ended by a 2-0 defeat to Sweden in the last group game of the competition.
