Kvitova thrashes Bouchard, wins second Wimbledon title
July 6 , 2014
Sixth seed Petra Kvitova overwhelmed Eugenie Bouchard to lift her second Wimbledon crown in what proved to be a one-sided final.
The Czech player, who won her first Wimbledon title in 2011, took only 55 minutes to beat the 20-year-old Canadian 6-3 6-0.
“To be back here with the trophy is so special,” Kvitova, 24, said after her victory.
Bouchard said it was a “really tough” day for her but “I am proud of how I have played for these two weeks”.
