Jo-Wilfried Tsonga beaten by Martin Klizan at U.S. Open

  • Jo-Wilfried Tsonga was knocked out of the U.S. Open in the second round after losing 6-4 1-6 6-1 6-3 to Martin Klizan.

    The Slovakian, ranked 52 in the world, had 19 break points against Tsonga, who made it into the quarter finals in 2011.

    It is the first time since 2007 that the Frenchman has failed to reach the third round of a Grand Slam.

    Andy Murray will take on Feliciano Lopez in the third round after the Spaniard defeated compatriot Pablo Andujar 6-4 6-1 6-7 (5-7) 3-6 7-5.
