Jacksonville Jaguars sign quarterback Denard Robinson

  • The Jacksonville Jaguars signed a four-year contract with former Michigan quarterback Denard Robinson on Tuesday.

    The Jaguars chose Robinson in the fifth round of this year's draft and have listed him as an offensive weapon on the club's roster.

    Financial terms were not disclosed.

    Robinson spent four years at Michigan where he played in 49 games with 37 starts, including two as a running back.

    In 2010, he set the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) record for a single-season rushing yards by a quarterback (1,702) and ended his career with the most rushing yards by a quarterback in NCAA history with 4,495.
