India defeat England by six wickets, take 2-0 lead

  • Continuing their good one-day form, India scored another comfortable victory against England, putting the tourists 2-0 ahead in the series.

Batting first, England started well, with Alastair Cook and Alex Hales putting in 82 for the first wicket. But then wickets fell quickly and though the hosts stabilized the innings towards the end, they could manage only 227.

Ambati Rayudu’s unbeaten 64 helped India cruise to a comfortable win with seven overs and six wickets to spare.
