India crash to innings defeat against England at Old Trafford

  • England defeated India by an innings and 54 runs on the third day of the fourth Test at Old Trafford, taking a 2-1 lead in the five match cricket series.

    India were bowled out for 161 in their second innings, with nine wickets falling after tea.

    England spinner Moeen Ali was the pick of the bowlers in the second innings, grabbing four wickets. Stuart Broad was unable to take to the field after a bouncer by India’s Varun Aaron during England’s first innings left him with a broken nose.
