Golf: Jordan Spieth leaves competition behind at Augusta

  • In a spectacular display, Jordan Spieth got a five-shot advantage heading into the weekend after producing a six-under-par 66 at the Augusta Masters.

Spieth, 21, closed round two on 14 under, which is a new record after 36 holes.

Building from his eight under overnight, the American birdied the second and fifth and then hit a 229 yards approach on the par-five eight to within three feet.

More birdies came on the 10th, 13th and 15th as Spieth continued to dominate.
