French Open: Murray beats Arguello in straight sets, advances to second round

  • Andy Murray defeated Facundo Arguello in straight sets to advance to the second round of the French Open.

The third seeded Briton took one hour and 45 minutes to overcome the Argentine 6-3 6-3 6-1.

Murray has done well on clay recently, winning the Munich and Madrid titles. The Scot said that he found the opening match at Roland Garros “difficult at the beginning” because of the wind and the cold, but his “level of tennis was better” in the second and third sets.
