April 27 , 2017
As per reports, the bidding process for the 2018 and 2022 World Cups are being investigated by French prosecutors. They have also questioned former FIFA president Sepp Blatter.
Blatter was found to have made a disloyal payment of £1.3m to ex-UEFA boss Michel Platini. Now Swiss prosecutors are looking into the payment.
France's National Public Prosecutor's Office started investigating the bid in order to award the tournaments last year.
Sources said that they are focusing into allegations of corruption.
