Father and son arrested after playing golf

  • A father and son ended up getting arrested after playing golf and drinking at a golf course in Johnson County. The day is said to have turned violent, according to the police. 

    The release issued by the Sheriff's Department shows that William Rains, 45 and Daniel Rains, 21 were charged with battery about four miles from Franklin. The disturbance at the golf course led to the officers from the department being called. 

    Daniel Rains reported that he was attacked by his father and that he "took a defensive position and was taken to the ground". William Rains, who also had fighting marks on his body reportedly bit his son on the lip during the incident.

    According to the report, the father was intoxicated and admitted to drinking the entire day during the outing. The two men were taken to the Johnson County Jail.
