Fan suing after being injured by airborne hot dog
November 3 , 2013
A Kansas City man got injured by a hot dog thrown by a baseball mascot in 2009.
The foil-wrapped hotdog hit the 53-year-old in the eye and he has gone through two surgeries since. John Coomer is now suing the Royals over this incident.
The case has reached the Missouri Supreme Court but the decision is not exactly clear-cut.
Although, teams are protected from lawsuits such as this one, it's not clear as to what happens if a mascot is the one to cause the injury.
Teams around the US are probably following the case closely.
