England thrash Australia in fourth Test, regain Ashes
August 9 , 2015
England crushed Australia by an innings and 78 runs to regain the Ashes on the third day of the Trent Bridge Test in what has been a nightmarish series for the visitors.
It took the hosts under 40 minutes to pick up the three remaining Australian wickets in the morning.
The victory gives England an unassailable 3-1 lead, with one match remaining in the series. The turnaround for England is particularly impressive after their 5-0 rout in Australia 19 months ago.
Meanwhile, Australian skipper Michael Clarke has said he will retire from international cricket after the Oval Test.
