England crush New Zealand by 210 runs in record-breaking ODI

  • Several records tumbled as England scored their highest-ever one day total and crushed New Zealand by 210 runs at Edgbaston.

The hosts scored 408-9, surpassing their 2005 record of 391-4 against Bangladesh, and then dismissed New Zealand for 198 to register their highest ever ODI victory margin.

Jos Buttler’s 66-ball century was the second quickest by an England batsman, while Joe Root hit the fourth fastest hundred.

Adil Rashid was another star performer for England, scoring 69 runs and then grabbing four wickets, in front of an ecstatic home crowd.
