Dodgers outfielder arrested over speeding

  • According to the Florida Highway Patrol, Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Yasiel Puig was arrested after he being caught over speeding on Saturday.

Reports suggest the 23-year-old was driving 110 mph in a zone with a limit of 70 mph. Puig was taken to the Collier County jail and released on $500 bond four hours later.

"Reckless driving in the state of Florida is a misdemeanor offense," spokesman for Highway Patrol said in his email to USA Today.

The outfielder faced similar charges earlier this year in Tennessee, which were eventually dropped.
