David Nakhid announces candidacy for FIFA's president

  • David Nakhid, the former Trinidad and Tobago International, has announced his candidacy for FIFA’s president. According to media reports, 51-year-old Nakhid, who announced his candidacy in a radio interview in Antigua, has played 35 times for his country and is also the first person from Trinidad and Tobago to play for European clubs. He played from 1988 to 1995, in Switzerland, Belgium, and Greece and has scored 20 goals over a period of four seasons with Switzerland’s FC Grasshopper and 12 goals in two years with Belgium’s Waregem.
