Dallas Cowboys to break tradition for the first time

  • It's for the first time in 40 years that Dallas Cowboys will be dressed in blue jerseys for a home game. Since the NFL doesn't allow teams to wear different helmets for any game, Cowboys were unable to wear their Thanksgiving throwback jerseys.

The uniforms Dallas are expected to wear won't have a blue front and white sleeves like Thanksgiving throwbacks, but will be solid blue instead.

According to Cowboys.com, such jerseys haven't been worn since 1971.
