Cubs player shows up in wrong uniform
April 6 , 2014
The Chicago Cubs played against the Pittsburgh Pirated quite late into the night on Wednesday and perhaps that's the reason Cubs' Junior Lake wore the wrong uniform the next day for a game at PNC Park.
The outfielder donned the uniform, which said "Chicago" instead of "Cubs" and continued to play the first inning while wearing it. Reports suggest that nobody noticed the issue before the game but it's also possible that Lake was "taking a stand on behalf of baseball tradition," according to which "road grays have usually featured the visiting team's city, not its nickname," USA Today reads.
