Cricket World Cup: New Zealand beat Bangladesh by 3 wickets, remain unbeaten

  • Remaining unbeaten at the top of Pool A, New Zealand won their sixth straight match at the Cricket World Cup by defeating Bangladesh by three wickets in Hamilton on Friday.

    However, Bangladesh gave the hosts some tense moments when the latter suffered a late collapse before reaching the winning target of 289 with seven balls remaining.

    Martin Guptill led the New Zealand batting attack with a fine century.  

    Earlier, Mahmudullah hit an unbeaten 128, his second consecutive century, as Bangladesh scored 288-7.
