Cricket World Cup: India defeat West Indies by 4 wickets
March 6 , 2015
Maintaining their unbeaten streak in the 2015 ICC Cricket World Cup, India defeated West Indies by 4 wickets in a low-scoring Pool B match at Perth on Friday.
Batting first,West Indies lost early wickets and managed to reach a total of 182 in 44.2 overs thanks to a half-century by Jason Holder.
Unlike India’s first three victories in the tournament, Friday's game was less one-sided as the Indian batsmen failed to build effective partnerships. Virat Kohli looked good but was dismissed for 33. Finally, it was left to skipper MS Dhoni to take India safely home with a cautious 45.
