Cricket: Ian Bell's 143 gives England solid start against West Indies

  • Ian Bell led England’s recovery with a fine century as the tourist ended day one of their first Test against West Indies at 341-5 in Antigua.

Besides Bell, who scored 143, Joe Root made 83 and Ben Stokes remained unbeaten on 71 as England made most of the flat pitch and dominated the day after three wickets fell for 34 runs.
