Cricket: Holder, Ramdin deny England victory in first Test
April 18 , 2015
Jason Holder hit a century as West Indies denied England victory in the first Test at Antigua that ended in a draw.
Holder and Denesh Ramdin’s seventh-wicket partnership of 105 proved crucial in spoiling the visitor’s chances, though Ramdin, eventually, fell to James Anderson.
Chasing a target of 438, West Indies ended day five on 350, with three wickets still remaining and Holder staying unbeaten on 103.
Meanwhile, Anderson has become England’s highest wicket-taker in Tests, suppressing the legendary Ian Botham.
