Cricket: England recover after shaky start in second innings against West Indies

  • England recovered after their top order collapsed in the second innings on day three to take control of the first Test against West Indies at Antigua.

Boosted by a first innings lead of 104, the tourists were, however, struggling on 52-3. But a partnership between Gary Ballance and Joe Root took England to 116-3.

Earlier, Jermaine Blackwood scored an unbeaten 112, but West Indies were bowled out for 295.

England go into day four with a lead of 220 runs.
