Cricket: Australia's Michael Clarke announces retirement from ODIs
March 28 , 2015
Australia’s captain Michael Clarke has announced his retirement from one-day international cricket. The World Cup final on Sunday against New Zealand will be the 33-year-old skipper’s last ODI match.
He said he had made the decision in the past two days and this was the “right time” for him and the Australian team.
Clarke, who has played 244 ODIs and scored 7,907 runs, has been struggling with injuries recently.
He will, however, continue playing Test matches.
