Broad claims 6 wickets as England take charge of fourth Test

  • England took charge of the fourth Test against India at Old Trafford, dismissing the visitors for 152 on the opening day, with six Indian batsmen returning to the dressing room without opening their innings.

Stuart Broad, who took six wickets, and James Anderson, who claimed three, were the pick of the England bowlers.

India were reeling at 8-4 at one stage, but later skipper Mahendra Dhoni provided some resistance by scoring 71. England closed the day at 113-3.
