British Athlete to Cycle Around the World in 80 Days

  • As per reports, a British adventurer as well as athlete Mark Beaumont is going to cycle around the world in 80 days in order to test the strength of the human body and mind. He aims at breaking the current record of 123 days by cycling 240 miles a day.

    According to his plan, he will be spending 75 days in the saddle, three days for flights, and a couple of days to deal with emergency situations.

    He launched his project on Sunday in London and on Monday he is supposed to set off on a practice ride which includes 3,500 miles in 80 days around the British coast.

    Beaumont cycled around the world in 195 days in 2008.

    Beaumont’s cycle trip is likely to start on July 2.
