  • Boxing icon Muhammad Ali was released from hospital where he was admitted in December for treating a urinary tract infection, media reports said.

Bob Gunnell, a family spokesperson, said the 72-year-old had fully recovered and his family were thankful for the public support.

Ali, who won the world heavyweight champion thrice, is widely regarded as one of the greatest legends in sport.

After he quit boxing, he was diagnosed with Parkinson's disease in the 1980s.
