Bangladesh win by 6 wickets, end Scotland's World Cup hopes

  • Despite a century by Kyle Coetzer that helped Scotland post a fighting total of 318-8, their World Cup dreams ended on Thursday after they lost to Bangladesh by six wickets in Nelson.

Having lost all their four Pool A matches so far, Scotland can no longer make it to the knockout stage.

Coetzer took 134 balls to score 156, an innings that included 17 fours and four sixes.

Tamim Iqbal scored 95 as he led the Bangladesh attack and helped his team win with 11 balls remaining.
