Attorney wants college players to get paid
March 19 , 2014
The US legal system is soon to get involved in the debate about whether or not student athletes should be paid.
An attorney filed a lawsuit on behalf of four present and past university players and stated that the NCAA illegally limits "competition for the services of players." Jeffrey Kessler also mentioned that college sports bring huge bucks for colleges but doesn't give much to athletes.
Salaries or scholarships have not been guaranteed but the suit only gives universities the option to pay their favorite athletes. The NCAA hasn't yet responded to the suit but stated that amateurism is essential for the educational aim of universities.
