Ashes: Australia dominate on day three of Lord's Test

  • Australia tightened their grip on the second Ashes Test after dismissing England for 312 and then scoring 108 without losing a wicket on the third day.

England, who were struggling at 30-4 in their first innings, did well to cross 300 thanks to a 96 by Alastair Cook and Ben Stokes’s 87, but they were still 254 runs behind.

Australia’s openers gave their team the ideal start, with David Warner scoring 60 and Chris Rogers unbeaten on 44 at stumps.
