Argentina's Matino to coach Barcelona
July 24 , 2013
Gerardo Martino is expected to sign a two-year deal to coach Barcelona team, which is led by Lionel Messi.
The team is one of the great clubs in soccer history and even though Martino hasn't had any European coaching experience, Messi spoke highly of him and appointed him to follow two of the most successful soccer coaches in Europe. Marino is supposed to sign the contract after traveling from Argentina.
Martino will not accompany the team to Germany on Wednesday for a preseason game against Bayem Munich.
The new coach, who is better known by the nickname of "Tata" will soon become the fourth Argentine to coach the club. Barcelona had once praised Martino on it's website in 2010 regarding his clear commitment to the passing game.
