Argentina international Marcos Rojo joins Manchester United

  • Marcos Rojo, the Argentina international defender, has joined Manchester United in a £16m deal.

Rojo described his signing of the five-year contract as a “dream for me”. The defender, who played in six World Cup games for Argentina in the 2014 Brazil World Cup, said United was the “world’s biggest club.”

He will be moving to United from Sporting Lisbon. Louis van Gaal, Manchester United’s manager, said Rojo was “a very gifted defender.”
