Argentina Coach Edgardo Bauza Fired

  • As per reports, Argentina's national head coach Edgardo Bauza was fired eight months after joining the team. This came after the team struggled in qualifying matches for upcoming World Cup to be held in Russia.

The report was confirmed by the Argentine Football Association on Monday.

During Bauza's short stint, Argentina won three matches, was defeated in two and had two draws, all in World Cup qualifiers.

The name of the next manager has not yet been confirmed but Argentina-born Jorge Sampaoli, the coach of Spanish club Sevilla, is perhaps the candidate, as speculated by the local media.
