Andy Murray wins Wimbledon, ends 77-year British wait
July 8 , 2013
Scotland's Andy Murray became the first British man to win the Wimbledon in the past 77 years, since Fred Perry won the championship in 1936.
Murray defeated top-rank Djokovic by 6-4, 7-5, 6-4 in a brilliant display, ending the anxiety that has dangling over Britain. Djokovic, however, remains at number 1 in the rankings but, at present, Murray is shining.
