Alex Rodriguez working on suspension deal
August 2 , 2013
According to Major League Baseball, Alex Rodriguez could possibly be facing a lifetime ban because of his scandal regarding Biogenesis performance-enhancing drug.
The MLB is reportedly negotiating a settlement for a long suspension instead. The suspension deal is being considered and could be close to a full season.
Rodriguez, who is the league's highest-paid player seems to be hopeful for the future and said he's not giving up. "I have tremendous faith, and hopefully there's a couple more chapters to this book," Rodriguez said. "And hopefully there's a happy ending somewhere."
According to Sports illustrated Managing Editor Chris Stone, the player has never been tested positive for performance-enhancing drugs and that could help lessen his punishment on appeal.
Rodriguez lawyers have previously said they will fight any discipline.
