Alan Irvine sacked as West Brom manager

  • Alan Irvine has been dismissed as the manager of West Brom, according to media reports. Irvine had replaced Pepe Mel as West Brom’s manager in June. The 56-year-old Scot was on a 12-month rolling contract. Irvine had won only four of his 19 league games as in-charge of the club. West Brom has said it expects to announce the new manager by the weekend.

The Midlands club would be searching for their head coach in just over a year. Earlier, West Brom had sacked Steve Clarke and Mel.
