January 21 , 2015
Ivory Coast clawed back into their opening game against Guinea in the Africa Cup of Nations on Tuesday, January 20, despite being one man short for most of the second half, according to media reports.
Mohamed Yattara put Guinea ahead in the 36th-minute. Gervinho, the former Arsenal striker, was sent off the field 58 minutes into the game after he slapped a player, before Seydou Doumbia equalized in the 72nd minute.
Guinea’s coach Michel Dussuyer said though his team could have put more pressure on 10-man Ivory Coast, a draw “remains a good result.”
