Adrian Peterson named NFL MVP

Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson was named as the NFL's Most Valuable Player on Saturday.
Peterson, who also won the top Offensive Player of the Year honor earlier in the evening, posted the second-highest rushing total in NFL history over the 2012 season. He finished with 2,097 yards, just eight yards shy of Eric Dickerson's record of 2,105 yards in 1984.
Houston’s J.J. Watt was named Defensive Player of the Year, Denver quarterback Peyton Manning was named Comeback Player of the Year, Washington quarterback Robert Griffin III was named Offensive Rookie of the Year, Carolina linebacker Luke Kuechly was named Defensive Rookie of the Year and current Arizona Cardinals head coach Bruce Arians was named Coach of the Year.
