Adidas and Nike compete for soccer gear top spot

As the Euro 2012 kicks off, Nike and Adidas are battling for the top spot in selling soccer gear.
Adidas has been associated with the world’s most popular sport dating back to when the German company was set up in 1949.
Nike was founded in the 1960s but only entered the soccer business in 1994.
Soccer boasts around 2 billion fans worldwide, followed by basketball with 1.2 billion.
Adidas' market share is estimated at 38 percent with Nike sitting at 36 percent.
