Warner Bros donates Batman mask, Superman cape to Smithsonian

  • Warner Bros. Pictures have donated Batman's mask, Superman's cape and Catwoman's suit to the Smithsonian museum, according to the U.S. national museum announced.

The Batman mask and hood worn by George Clooney in the 1997 Batman & Robin movies were one of more than 30 pieces of memorabilia presented by Warner Bros. Chairman Barry Meyer to the Smithsonian's National Museum of American History in Washington, D.C.

Spanning from 1942 to 2005, the items donated were from 13 films made by the Hollywood studio.

Late actor Christopher Reeve's Superman suit from 1983's Superman III and Halle Berry's costume worn in the 2004 flick Catwoman along with props from 2005's Charlie and the Chocolate Factory were among the other items donated to the museum.
