UK: China-born Zhu Tian wins Catlin Art Prize for emerging talents

  • Zhu Tian, a London-based artist, has won the Catlin Art Prize which recognizes and awards emerging talents.

    Zhu Tian, who was born in China and moved to Britain in 2002, won the £5,000 prize for taking viewers on a “compelling and unsettling” journey through her work, according to the judges.

    Before studying Sculpture at Royal College of Art, she did an economics degree.

    Meanwhile, Paul Schneider won the £2,000 Visitor Vote award.
