Tom Jones to play legendary Los Angeles club
April 14 , 2013
Tom Jones is to perform at a legendary Los Angeles club as part of a tour of the United States.
The 72-year-old crooner will perform at the Troubadour, a venue that has hosted Sir Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and Bob Dylan.
The Troubadour, on Los Angeles' Santa Monica Boulevard, was set up in 1957 and has helped establish the careers of several bands and singers.
Jones will also perform at Philadelphia's Theatre of the Living Arts and New York's Bowery Ballroom in New York in May.
The gigs were confirmed in a statement on Jones' official website on Saturday.
He will perform in the U.S. from May 11 to 18 to mark the American release of his latest album Spirit In The Room, his second "back-to-basics'' collection of blues numbers.
