Tim Burton's Frankenweenie to open London film festival

  • Tim Burton's Frankenweenie, a black-and-white animation telling the story of a boy and his dog, is to open this year’s London film festival.

    The Disney's stop-motion animated 3D film features the voices of Catherine O'Hara, Martin Short, Martin Landau and Winona Ryder.

    It will be released in theaters in Britain on October 17, a week after its festival debut.

    This year's British Film Institute London film festival runs from October 10-21. The full line-up will be announced on September 5.
