Sony Pictures cancels release of The Interview
December 18 , 2014
Sony Pictures cancelled the release of The Interview, after threats to moviegoers and key theater groups decided to cancel its screenings across the US.
The film, a comedy starring Seth Rogen and James Franco, depicts the assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un, and has been the trigger for hacking attacks on the computer networks of Sony Pictures.
On Tuesday, a group named Guardians of Peace warned people in an online message to stay away from the film’s screenings.
